The rules for constructing one are as follows:

Each line is made up of two half lines or distiches.

horses after being challenged by Demeter to make her a beautiful courting gift.

Terza Rima:
Terza rima is an Italian verse form composed of iambic tercets (three-line groupings). The end-word
of the second line in one tercet supplies the rhyme for the first and third lines in the following
tercet. Thus, the rhyme scheme (aba, bcb, cdc, ded) continues through to the final stanza or line.
The only time the form changes is at the conclusion of the poem, where an additional single line,
which rhymes with the second line of the final tercet, stands alone; the rhyme scheme at the end of

serve. How might a receipt for eel in lieu of coin payment read? Announcement of the fish course
for a feast? A recipe for the catch of the day? Or what happened if the fisherperson caught
something ..."unexpected" in their nets?

Instructions: The form of Shakespearean sonnets
